Any word when LL will increase the number of groups one can belong to from 25 to ???. I personally think it is ridiculous to be limited only to 25 groups. Just working at a club or some other entity you can use from 3-5 groups on that alone. Not to mention a number of people that are grouping themselves as families. I personally love live concerts and always attending concerts of performers I have never seen before. It is always a struggle to decide which group to leave in favor of joining another group. I am not asking for an infinite number of groups one can belong to. But 25, c'mon they can do better than that. I know, I know I should appreciate it was increased from 15 to 25, but wasn't that like a year ago.? Additionally, as the population of sl increases and the fact they are recruiting real life businesses inworld, this should also be included in some future viewer releases.

Anyone in the know, know? I welcome your thoughts.

Chances of it happening in the foreseeable future? Slim and none.

More groups = more load on asset server. That's why there's a limit. It used to be 10 groups, then 15, and now 25.

I wouldn't expect any increases to the max number of groups we can join until the asset server is completely stabilized.

So yeah, unlikely

Ok, ok Guys I get it. Hey can't fault me for wishful and progressive thinking. The previous person said it used to be 10, how dreadful! I probably will take some static over the following statement but hey!!!

I would rather have group accessiblity increased at least by 5 then being able to change the color of the moon or something like that. Not that I don't like pretty moons. I'm just being practical here.

The group system needs some rethinking, more encouragment of the likes of subscribe-o-matic for groups that only require communication. Not all groups need land permissions.

In terms of being able to social network the group system here is not good.

If LL were to make a change to the number of groups any time soon, I would expect it would be to reduce the number. Groups are one of the biggest failures in the scaling of Second Life.

Have to agree. The main reason for my alt is my primary is business oriented and the other stuff I do is live music, and while 25 groups is enough for one or the other, it doesn't cover both. So the first loads up on one type and the management stuff (renting places, etc.) and the second joins all the 'groupie' groups to know what's happening and when.

OTOH, 25 is already a long list to scan down. Hate to walk into a bar wearing the wrong title, too.
