I need to make some changes on one of my groups but I don't know how to do it, if someone can help me I appreciate - a member that has officer role and since he's steping aside I need to put him as member, decrease his role, how do I do that? - is there a way to delete past notices? I found several notices posted twice - members, officers, owners - these are the ones who begin the group, besides renaming them can I create a 4th role?

Group Owners and Officers can select which roles a member has, and define new roles, from the Group Info window, which you can get at from Edit / Groups, where you can also select which specific "Abilities" are granted to newly-defined roles.
I don't know about deleting group Notices. Try it there and see what happens. I think they automatically clean out after 30 days now, if I remember a recent blog post correctly.
