Does anyone else have the problem of offering a teleport to someone when inside your house, and they get stuck in the ceiling?

Not the best way to make a first impression! LOL

i had that problem a couple of times, i found that the house was locked to visitors could that be your problem. When you go into your house type in open and then tp someone in see if tht works:)

I've seen this happen even with high ceilings, at ground level, and with standard, non-mega-prim floor and ceiling, but each of those factors seems to contribute to the frequency of occurrence. When I first started, I used a skybox with 5m ceilings, using nested hollow cubes for some of the structure; SL could never figure out where to put avatars on arrival--they invariably landed on the roof. Call it security. :p

As far as I can see, the person that you TP mostly arrives over the position position you were in when you offered the TP. They end up standing on your head.
I always move a bit after offering a TP.

Some time ago I had a little skypod made from two linked 10m spheres hanging over a 128m parcel.

If I didn't stand right in the centre x,y of one of spheres, people I TPed usually ended up rezzing outside on the curved 'roof' and plummeting to the ground.
The inside faces of the spheres were transparent, so those inside had a grandstand view of the 'fun'.

I had this problem too, but only if I was sitting on my couch. The person would either TP in upstairs, or stuck in the ceiling. If I tp them in while standing, the problem went away.

I haven't had this problem anymore, even with my skybox which is built completely of megaprims, ever since I did a few things:

> Put a small sleep before the unsit, which almost eliminates flying-on-landing

> Set the TP-in point .25 meter above the actual surface. If I set it exactly to the surface, I seem to occasionally (due to roundoff errors? prim drift?) collide with the surface on landing and end up on the roof or whatever.

> Make sure the TP-in point is at least a full meter away from any other objects in XY.

Yes, when I offer a TP, it looks like they pop in a little higher than where I am, and float down to the ground. So it could be low ceilings. Maybe you can't TP a person to the exact coordinates where you're standing, so they're automatically TP'd in a little bit higher, into your ceiling?

Your Lucky, my daughter Lilyrose always manages to TP me and drop me in a pool of Water. From now on, when she Sends me one, I'm going to Float before accepting. :p
