From: Yosef Okelly Bastard (and I mean that in a teasing sort of jealous way) Gratz Actually I don't envy him. as with many of the things I do that I enjoy, cooking, playing the piano, tending to my yard, I know I would not enjoy them as much if I had to do them everyday as a job. But I wish you luck, especially if the whole thing wasyour idea.

not sure whether this would be a good thing or bad. on the one hand you are getting paid to use SL. wow!!! dude! on the other hand, you will be in SL and not allowed to explore, shop, chat to your friends etc.... I presume you would just be on your islands training and working all day... hmmm that would be a sort of slow torture lol. Good luck though. It sounds like you have it made!

On the company islands, we plan to use our RL names. So I'll have an ALT, with my RL name. It does have mixed blessings, I enjoy training and I feel I know enough about SL to be extremly dangerous. Thanks of course to all the help and advice I have gotten here. Again, all of this is in testing and it is very difficult to convince my company to use new ideas. "CX"

From: Kira Cuddihy Keep the poseballs out of there or no one will ever get any work done. LOL oooh that could be seriously funny. Imagine, the secretary and the boss getting it on in SL because they've always had a crush on eachother in RL... scary thought. Honestly, that's really cool CX! Have fun, and I'm glad that you've got enough experience that you can help people out. Are they going to all do the newbie shopping trips for skins, clothes, shapes, etc? If they are and you want/need any help, I'd be glad to sort of buddy with someone and help them out. I don't have the energy to be a full time SL Mentor but I can handle one or two people.

Didn't want to say that out loud. All kinds of things could happen in there. co-worker: ConductorX how often do you have sl sex? ConductorX: *blushes* co-worker: Yells at him, WELL ConductorX: didnt know you could do that in there. co-worker: come on pal I want you to teach me how. See that sweetie down at the end of the hall, I have been dying to get it on with her and now the company is going to pay me to do it. I'm not waiting any longer, I want her now. /me stands back and waits for ConductorX to start blushing.

Sort of a double edged sword. Sounds fantastic on the surface, but wow, how tempting it would be to go off during the day and explore. I hope you don't get too burnt out by being inworld all the time. And, better take off the Cartel HUD if you're wearing it /me also wonders, when you're throwing an after hours party which your company should not know about on that island?

I have a friend who manages 7 sims for her company and she's not raving about how great it is. She can't rez a single prim unless it's authorized and the time required is incredible.

Actually tomorrow is Mardi Gras.. I am off of work and plan to throw a pool party on my property if you wish to attend. My regular work duties will continue. The islands will only be used for planned events, typically on Mondays and Fridays. "CX"

Our department

Our department also used SL. We were merely observers. Few of us stayed. None of us remained SL friends.

From: ConductorX Nieuport My company plans to use SL as a Virtual Training and Conferencing tool. When I heard about their plans I joined SL with the intention to learn it so I could be a tutor / trainer to my fellow workers. I have done this many times with other software packages. I did not expect to get immersed into the SL culture so deeply. Today, I learned that our Islands are ready for trial use and I have requested the IT department to load the SL software on my company PC. It is a big day for me I only hope SL lives up to the challenge. Just think about this.. using SL, at work and getting paid for it. PRICELESS "CX" hire me! super cool! have fun!
