A dear friend of mine is hosting a party this weekend on some land that I own. She will have a friend of hers DJing and has asked that the DJ to be able to "rez his tip jar and have access to the music stream."
I can easily set him up as a group member to allow him to rez/build on the land but I really have no idea about what I should do to allow him to be able to access the streams without giving him access to other privileges.
I am thinking that I might need to set up a new "role" for this but I have no idea where to start. If anybody has the time and patience to help me get this set up, I would be so grateful. My work schedule is not going to allow me to be online during the party set-up or else I would just try to be on hand to help out as I could.
Thank you in advance for any advice/tips any of you might have!

create a NEW ROLE in the group and allow it to manage media settings, then add the dj to that group. or just ask him for his stream url and enter it into the land menu yourself.

From: Nina Stepford or just ask him for his stream url and enter it into the land menu yourself.
^^This is what I would do; it is the simplest solution and doesn't require you to give the DJ permission to do anything.

Thank you so very, Nina and Madhu. If a DJ only needs to have a particular URL in the field, then that is how I shall handle it.
Thanks for you time. ~Lilli

Yet another way is to use a scripted device that can change the media URL. So long as the device is owned by the same person or group that owns the land (for group owned land you have to deed the device to the group) it will work. You would probably want one with an access list so you can give only the people you want the right to change your media.
