Hello, this might be long as there are many questions involved. 1. Have you noticed that when you rezz a cluster of objects for sale, all the prices get moved to the price of the last object selected? This has been happening lately to me, lets say in the last 4 weeks. I have my main location, where I work building, I used to make a complete nursery and picked it up as a cluster to take it to the store and to the rental stores I have around sl. The first thing I noticed was when a customer bought 2 framed pictures, sold in 25L and he paid 200L!. I flew to the store and refunded the customer what he had overpaid, but then one of my 250L cribs got sold for 20L.. of course I didnt ask the customer to pay more, assumed it was my mistake and verified prices in each item I sell. It then happened again in one of the stores, so I started playing with simple prims, pricing them in different amounts, selecting them all and picking them as cluster, to find that EVERY single time, the total of prims took the price of the last one selected. 2. Search..... well, there has been a lot of threads on the subject, but I havent read that your classifieds, as well as the normal search by place disappears each thursday and reappears on sundays. That's been happening since the new search came up for me. I dont know what to do, I try updating the classifieds to see if that helps, so far, only the arrival of sundays make my store come up in search again. 3. I've been building baby furniture for some months now, the name of my store is Sugar Baby, while exploring search, I found that somebody is using almost the same name. Is there a way to prevent this? 4. Do any of you know of a good animator that can make some animations for me??? LOL I'm kind of desperate, I've contacted a couple of them, they accept and then they simply vanish. 5. Do any of you crash each time they tp out of a sim??? This is making me crazy! /me takes a deep breath after talking so much and sits with some coke to wait for answers.  Thank you!!!! |

nope did not know about the prim pricing thing, will have to test that as well
never noticed that about search, will observe now and see
nothing you can do about similar names, other than MAYBE if you have your name as a registered trademark or business name in RL... not sure
nope do not know any animators that do custom work, for that you could post a request in the products wanted forums
nope no crashes when TPing
(now that I said that I will end up crashing)

I believe I read about the prim pricing issue some weeks ago. A known bug, but only recently introduced.

TP Crashing

Mily, tp crashing I've noticed more with windlight where as silent crashing seams to be the norm across the clients. Also, have you tried posting the animations request in "products wanted"? after a long search for a scripter that would not vanish that's where I got the most responses, found two and had to politely turn away others.

This has been reported in JIRA, I even believe Torley posted a warning on the blog not to do this. You could check what stage this bug is at on the JIRA and even vote for it if not fixed. If it says it is fixed and its clearly not! you should say so.

No idea, paranoia maybe. Maybe you could explain in more detail what exactly you mean?

Yes, change your name, also I bet the other company sells something other than baby stuff. Even in RL a 'similiar' name with a different product is hard to enforce copyright of said name, in SL it's never going to happen. However, if this other company has more people looking for its products/services than yours, it could be in your favour.

Only been happening to me frequently ever for the first time on the latest RC viewer, so obviously I don't use it. Strangely happens on the second TP everytime.

I have noticed a lot of times when I rez something it doesn't appear unless I log, and also some serious "pinging" when I move objects ... then the object slowly moves itself into place. I'm assuming this must be lag related as it is in slow motion.

I used to use a cluster that was a small sales stall with all the sale items in situ, so I could rez it on a 64m square, when I used to deal in 64m squares and had a rapid turnover. But I noticed that one guy who'd tried to buy one of my boxed sale objects had ended up buying the whole stall for the price of the one object!!
