Being Tped by someone not on my friends list

Apparently I have set something that prevents anyone not on my friends list from tping me. Does anyone know how I can change it because it is darn annoying.

You have Edit / Preferences / Communication / 'Make my online status visible only to my friends etc" checked, which has the side-effect of graying out the "Offer Teleport" button on your profile (semi-recent change, didn't used to be that way).

Other people can work around it by toggling Client / View Admin Options before looking at your profile and then simply disabling it again, but most don't know (or remember as it was once a necessary work-around when LL broke "Offer Teleport" altogether for two weeks).

I will change it because it is a pita. Anyone who really wants to see if I am online or not can look in one of my groups so it doesnt matter.

It's an SL default that you can not TP people who are not on your friends list. I don't think it's something YOU can do... rather, anyone who wants to TP people not on their friends list can go to the CLIENT menue and check off VIEW ADMIN OPTIONS. Close the communication window and re-open it again. Now when you view profiles, you will see the Offer Teleport option.

You can TP someone not on your friends list. Go to search, look someone up, and it says offer TP on their profile.

As for the matter at hand.....its probably one of these TP Campers that are out now. People get paid like 1/2 L per teleport. I fell for it once, thinking i knew the person, and ended up standing in the middle of 15 confused avatars.
