Hey,
I'm trying to sell my L$ on the website but I keep getting this message:
We are unable to complete your request. • This transaction would exceed your daily trading limit by US$28.26. Your daily trading limit is US$0. • Transaction limit exceeded • The system encountered an error while processing your order, please try again.
Is it because I have no paypal e-mail linked to my account or something? How do I do that?
Thanks for the help, toodles-oo.
Edit: Apparently, I'm in the "new residents 0-1 days" so my limit is 0$L per month but I've been there for much much longer actually.. odd that.

File a ticket on the website for an account review/limit increase. With the age of your avie, they should set it to the standard trading limits. If that fails, simply sell them thru the xstreet site. Depending on your choice of payout, the first time is slow, after that its pretty painless..even more so if you have a verified paypal to receive the money. ~brie

The timer on trading limits starts with the first transaction that involves real money, as in buying L$ the first time, or setting up a premium account. If you never did either of those things, you will forever be stuck at the starting point. It doesnt matter what your account age, just time since you did a money transaction.

It means I ABSOLUTELY have to buy L$ to be able to sell it?

Go to Xstreet instead (it is owned by LL but does not yet have the same limits): https://www.xstreetsl.com/

From: Karll Skytower That's pretty silly. It means I ABSOLUTELY have to buy L$ to be able to sell it? Yes, but the minimum is only a couple of dollars, and when you resell the L$, you are only out the transaction fee of US$0.30. Its more of a deterrent to credit card fraud than a way for them to make money off you. Since L$ are convertible both ways to real money, in theory someone could take a stolen credit card number, buy a lot of L$, transfer it to another account, then cash it out. If that could be done instantly, they could be long gone before anyone noticed. The spending limits and requirement to buy some L$ put a brake on that. Using a card to buy with, will give the cardholder a chance to notice it is being used. If its your card, no problem. If its stolen, thats a good thing. The low spending and selling limits the first few days limit the damage a stolen card can do. They also have fraud detectors set up if you move *too much* L$ around, or try to cash out too much at once. I have managed to trigger those, because Im a currency trader and shove a lot of L$ around on a regular basis. They will freeze your account if the trigger is set off, then you have to call them and explain what was going on to get it unfrozen.
