i like to play in a combat sim and about 90% of my time in sl is spent there.
outside of NoR sl runs brilliantly, no problems at all but once in these sims i start to get them disappearing on me one by one. doesnt happen all the time but more and more frequently now. combat sims in themselves take a huge amount of memory and probably bandwidth but ive not done anything to my comp so dont know if its something with the updates that is doing this and wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem...i can be in a sim and watch as each sim around me disappears one by one so that im alone and i cant tp out without crashing. no one but me that ive talked to has had this happen so any solutions would be great..if there are any..thanks
both versions of sl do this.

Has the scent of a network problem. Might be worth power-cycling everything from the viewer machine to the ISP's wall jack. It could also be some kind of bandwidth cap by the ISP, possibly traffic shaping.

From: Qie Niangao It could also be some kind of bandwidth cap by the ISP, possibly traffic shaping. I agree... It sounds a lot like the symptoms that Comcast users have reported when their connection sets off a bandwidth usage alarm, and the ISP sends a 'stop' packet to their machine ending their connection to that server.
