Hello,
I've been in SL all of 7 days and I've heard a lot of negative things about the WSE and It's founder. I was wondering if any of you could tell me please about this so I know to advoid it all together. Thanks !

The short answer: Stay away.
It's a fictitious stock market that takes your real money and turns it into their own currency. There was a time when you could exchange lindens for lindens and make real money if you chose the right stock, but now all bets are off. Their disclaimer on the website should be enough to warn you off: DISCLAIMER: The World Stock Exchange (WSE) is a Fictional Securities Exchange and Banking service developed for educational and entertainment purposes and is not a real life securities exchange and bank. The WSE does not use real currency and only operates using fictional currencies called (Linden Dollars) and (World Internet Currency). Hi, Icarus, Welcome to SL. I don't know too much about WSE, to be honest. But I can tell you.....keep your lindens in your own account unless you're purchasing something. In other words, don't "invest" them, don't "bank" them (other than in your own account), don't agree to any pop ups that say you're giving permission to debit your account unless you're setting up a vendor or something. That's about the best I can tell you.

Hi Icarus,
There's an entire thread right here: /327/72/244775/1.html EDIT: Ray beat me to it, but if you are every considering investing in something in SL that is not regulated in any way, then it wouldn't hurt to read the thread twice. _____________________
