A vendor took my money but is knowingly not providing a working streaming service - he just says its not his problem and won't refund my unused time (I have a more than a week left).

What can I do?

Thanks for any advice.

Nothing. You probably are with the same guy my partner got a stream from. he was always telling her theres nothing he could do about it and that it was our fault it wasnt working lol.

We just counted it a loss and moved on.

I think you can actually get your own stream outside of SL but you need a web server to host it on I guess. May be the route to go.

If it's a vendor inside SL, the most you can do is ask him politely to use lube next time. If it's a vendor outside of SL and you paid with a credit card, you can file a dispute with your card issuer and get your money back.

There are some very good ones out there at reasonable prices, but you have to search. Mouse-mouse.co.uk has a "double or quit" promotion - they will double the amount of slots you purchase. And they are VERY reasonable.

I had a similar problem, in that my stream disappeared, as did the avatar of my provider...left me quite in the lurch for the live performance at my club the next day...

Then I started using the Stream Team (IM Edward Lowell or Jackie Cushing) and had no more problems at all.

I no longer have the stream as I closed my club to work on other projects, but I still recommend them from my experience.
