Skybox Question

I am in the process of moving to my new skybox (above Solares) and I am having problems with getting there. I am at 650m and I cannot make it home. I get a message saying that home needs to be on my land or the mainland. Plus, I cannot get there via LM. I have made landmark after landmark, but if I leave, I end up back on the ground when I try to TP. I hid a TPer and was able to TP someone else there. It is the weirdest thing. Then, I flew off to look and instead of being able to see my platform or structures, I just started dropping and ended up having to TP out.

I cannot tell if it is just a SL glitch or if I am doing something wrong. I am renting and my land owner has been trying to help me but to not avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

check land perms, it may be set to only tp into one spot.

The group the land is owned by needs to have the set home to here option ticked...and I believe you have to wear the group tag when you are setting home, not sure though. As for tp-ing in....I've been having problems with TPing to high locations recently and have to tp once to get to ground level...then another to make it up to the top. As for the falling...do you have a flight feather or flight assist of some kind? its good to have one if you're planning on living up high.

Does your landlord have a group? You'd need to be in it and have the tag active in order to set Home. If they have a landing point set on the parcel, your av will always go there first, not matter where the LM was actually set. If that's the case, using the LM again after you arrive on the ground may let you tp to the skybox. As for falling, do you have a flight booster? 650m is well above what avs can normally fly without one.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Or you might have a landing point set on the About Land (I think this is what MortVent means?)

Re: flying up, normally we can't fly higher than say 250 m without starting to really fight gravity. Try attaching a flight aid, like a Mystitool or Flight Feather.

Also if that is rented land be sure the owner allows "Set home to here".

Wow.. I am slow. When I typed this there was only one response. :P
