Here it is late on teh day we were told that the entire grid would be updated with the new server code and still no update on my sim. No updates on staus since yesterday. Has this just gone away?

I guess the update today was just an April Fool's Joke.

Per /327/d2/250337/1.html#post1930641, it was supposed to take through Thursday to roll it across the whole grid. (But don't know why they didn't say that on the blog announcement.)

It seems they have delayed the rollout without any announcement.

Dropped the ball?

In order to drop something you would of had to of caught it.

And who in their right mind ever said they caught it to begin with?

How can you verify the sim is running H4
04-02-2008 07:18
How can you verify the sim is running Havok 4. It looks something has changed in the sim where my land is located. Earlier in the day, I was getting terrible lag. I was reading about 10-15 sim fps. I checked all the ajoining sims and they were working at normal lag at about 40-45 sim fps. Late last night I returned after RPing all evening and I was getting normal speed of 40-45 sim fps. It looks like the sim was restarted and fixed what ever issue it had, but I still do not know if the sim is running H4.

Go to Help and choose About. Havok4 servers are 1.20.0.83683 . According to the Lindens, the entire grid has been updated to this version.

I read elsewhere on the forum that if you go to "about second life" in the help menu, and look at the version of the server code running (not the viewer or client version, but the server version), then 1.20.something is Havok4, and 1.19.something has not yet been updated.

Last night around 10:00PM SLT, the mainland sim where my cafe is located (Milyang) was restarted, and this morning when I checked the server version was 1.20.something - so at least as recently as last night, Havok4 updates were happening.

Actually, it seems like they're done.

They did our sim last night. Since then I have crashed 3 times (in 1 hour), and my friend crashed 4 times last night right after the update.

I hardly ever crashed before. So much for improved stability.
