Hi all, I bought Estate land awhile back and have the option to resell it. However, in the editor of the land tools there's an option to abandon it. Does that mean I can just leave the land without re-selling and taking my reponsibility off from the tier fees?

Yes. But why not resell, and get some of your money back? Since it's estate land, by the way, you'd be abandoning it back to the estate owner. If you were on the mainland and not an estate, you'd be abandoning it to the Lindens, who will eventually auction it off.

Yes - I agree - it's better to sell the land undercutting the lowest L$ per sq. metre, so a bot will come and buy it. At least you get something that way.

Thanks for the replies, now I see how this works. Conifer Dada, you say about bots buying it...what are you talking about? Are you saying that are non-human entities buying land?

If you contact the estate owner they can set the land so you can sell it by acrtivating the for sale button for you. Not all estate owners do this and will transfer the land to the person you sell it to providing this person agrees to the covenant and fees. This means it will be listed in land sales as well as you listing it in classifieds and on the forum or selling to friends. the new buyer must pay the same fees as you do to the estate owner on the same fee due date though. Good luck, I certainly wouldnt abandon.
