I just noticed that the total number of SL residents is no longer listed on the login screen. I wonder what could have happened...
Maybe they're finally over 10 million but the program isn't capable of displaying an 8 digit number.
Maybe they purged all of the unused accounts and they don't want anybody to know they only have half a million residents left.
Any other ideas?

It's just too susceptible to misinterpretation. Does it count deleted characters? Suspended/banned characters? We already know that it's not unique residents. There is no real point to keeping it out there. The number of unique residents and total should be maintained, but solely in the statistics files.

They changed it to not count bots, griefers and one/none time logins? Nope the Unique Residents number counts bots and griefers. The 10 million number however, even counted Ex Bots and banned Griefers. |
