Is there a way to stop being timed out of sl or even a way to extend the time until you are?

In Advanced, Character, Character Tests I think it is - untick Go Away When Idle.

Yeah in preferences you can set the timer to longer, i think it goes to about 600 seconds, also, a trick i learned if i have to be afk for a bit, is to type a letter in the chat line, but don't send it. Don't ask me why this works, i don't have a clue..but so far so good for me.

From: Kyrah Abattoir How about being ACTUALLY present? Wow, rough. I have actually gotten up to go check something in the kitchen or check on laundry and then have one thing after another come up that results in me being away for an hour. Sometimes when we get up, we do not plan on being gone long.
