Yesterday, SL was working perfectly for me. But last night I somehow accidentally changed one of my settings and now my right-click button is all wonky. If I try to select my house, I get the back wall or a piece of furniture. If I right-click on my floor, I get the pie chart for the land. I can't buy anything, "touch" a sploder or sit on a chair, call up my avatar's pie chart for profile or appearance, open a box.... I've gone though all the settings repeatedly, but just can't figure out what got changed. I'm using the older version 1.9, I think, and don't want to update to the new one if I can help it because I always feel like I'm gambling that it won't work at all. And, I failed to save the .exe for the version I have, so I can't just uninstall it and try again. Does anyone have any hints what may be causing this? It's driving me nuts!

Hi, Dragonlady. First, have you checked to see if you accidently chose to "Select Only My Objects"? It's a setting in, I believe, the Tools menu. Generally, it should be unchecked. That may help, but doesn't sound like it will solve your problems completely. Have you tried deleting your local SL data? If you do so, SL will rebuild a fresh copy next time you login. Your preferences and settings will return to their defaults, and SL will give you helpful prompts as if you were a newbie, which is annoying. But it will clear out any corruption or settings that may be confusing SL. In XP the folder is (delete the whole thing): C:\Documents and Settings\<your userid>\Application Data\SecondLife In Vista the folder is: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife In a Mac OS: (your Home folder)/Library/Application Support/SecondLife -> Cache Note: which version client do you need? If it is one of SL's release 1.19 builds, it is probably still on their download server: http://download-secondlife-com.s3.amazonaws.com/Good luck!

Sorry, I had to leave right after I posted. From: someone Hi, Dragonlady. First, have you checked to see if you accidently chose to "Select Only My Objects"? The mouse generally doesn't do anything when I right-click on most items, or seems to read right through the item. For instance, it doesn't do anything when I try to use a pose stand -it just acts as if it doesn't exist, or gives me information about the land it's on. Never mind the floor of the building, rugs or such. From: someone Have you tried deleting your local SL data? If you do so, SL will rebuild a fresh copy next time you login. Yup. Tried that too. Whatever it is, it came right back the same way. I'll try to find it. Finding the current version to use as a backup would make me much less concerned about trying the upgrade.

I'm using 1.19.1(4), but don't see it on that list.
Does anyone happen to have a copy uploaded somewhere? If so, I'll just uninstall mine, and reinstall from scratch.
