Hi people
It seems funny to me to start a topic about popular shops and that are standing very low in the classifieds. Also, when you search on places this isn't giving a good overall cause a lot of places are visited by much camp-users. So what I want are popular shops, that are less know by the general public, that havn't camping places and arn't spending much money on the classifieds. Here is my input:
- Sirena (Hair) - Gothicatz (Clothing) - Armidi (Clothing) - Xcite! (Animations)
... Looking forward to hear yours!!

I've always found high quality products at the following stores and are personal favorites of mine.
Barefoot Designs - owner Jeremey Ryan, location sims are Snafu & Zeord men's clothing(assorted shorts, briefs, sweaters, sweats) houses in a range of sizes(I'm in my 3rd one from Barefoot Homes) office furniture, ceiling fans, light fixtures
True North Designs - owner Dellybean North, location sim Goun DellysciousWear(womens clothing & shoes) 101 Dellaminations(wide range of animations, natural & well done) Gem Gallery(high quality jewelry for women, small mens selection) furniture ranging from living room, kitchen, bath, office, beach & more Gift dept with the champagne fountains, & small household items Northern Lights(light fixtures of all kinds)
Hair stores - my inventory proves that I love products from Analog Dog,Calla, ETD. I also discovered thanks to last years Hair Fair new places like Magika, Diversity, and many more.
I could spend an hour looking through folders in my inventory to bring in more names, lol.

Xcite and Armidi are hardly "less known". They just don't need to market in those channels because their word of mouth is so strong.

Um, out of your list of 4, there's only one "less known" - Gothicatz. Sirena, Armidi and Xcite are so well known they don't NEED to advertise. And....these where do you shop lists have been done to death.

Soooo, how can a "popular" shop be "lesser known" ? Can hardly be popular if no one knows about it, I'm thinking. The four places in the OP aren't exactly "lesser known" since everyone knows about them.
I tend to shop at high-end places (Armidi, Maitreya, Dutch Touch etc) because of their quality (in most cases) but the benefit of shopping at "lesser-known" places is that you're not wearing the same thing everyone else is.
Some of my favourite items were found off the beaten path, by little-known designers.

And....these where do you shop lists have been done to death. They always get derailed early. One of these days there might actually be a list of stores to look at. I mean I still haven't been to many "so popular they do not need to advertise" stores because I've never heard of them. I've heard of the four listed above though. *sighs* I mean can't we have a bloody list of stores? shesh. bloody hell. I keep getting all excited . . .ooh, a list of skins . . .wait that is a rant about skin makers making people have to adjust their shapes. Ooh, clothing list. Derailed. etc.

I wouldn't mind a list either... just to see how many I've already been to, if nothing else. And finding lesser-known or startup places with quality merchandise is always great. Of the 4 the OP listed, I've been to all of them but only frequent one (GothiCatz).

Someone in the classifieds asked where to find bust shadows. I went to the place mentioned and spent quite a while trying to find the actual "store" part... but had fun doing so. (Nice to see rain inworld now and then.) And once I did get into the shop I found a particular hairstyle a friend has been hunting for quite a while. By mentioning the location here the store (Little Heaven) gained 3 visitors/customers.
