Hi I was wondering if you have an alt account do you have to pay the 9.95 like it says on LL web site
one of my friends told me that they are not charging for alt accouts anymore , (or that they wont charge if they find you have one. Cant remember how she put it)
I dont have one yet but I was just wondering Thanks

I dont have one yet but I was just wondering Thanks They still have the fee "on the books" but there is no way for you to pay it other than opening a support ticket and insisting on forcing them to take money that they are making no effort to collect. In short, no. Unless they decide you are abusing the system with your alts, in which case, since the fee is still technically in effect, they could require payment to keep an account active.

Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.

Nope, don't think so unless of course they changed it again.

All characters are their own accounts now so there is no way to even pay for an alt anymore. If als were tied to the original account, then all the bots plus th owner would count as a single "resident" and this is contrary to numbers game LL needs to play. Oopening up free alts, just like any other character, LL no lnoger has a pressure to count players and solely relies on th total resident numbers.
So no. No more paying for alts; and I doubt it will ever change.

Given that many MMORPG's are free to play/download.. it only makes sense for Linden Labs to make Second Life free to play/download and 'charge' for premium content. So, I'm going to assume that the fee isn't coming back.
