Have a really small cozy club opening up this week built in a Medieval theme. I have a Party Popper that matches the theme, but I am wondering what other club games are out there that may also fit this theme. I Don't want to spend a lot of time modifying or rebuilding games as... well we all know clubs don't make money and I have other projects to work on so I can profit from them.

Thank in advance for any suggestions!

it is difficult to name games that are legal, because even though one version of that name is legal, another version may not be

best way to determine is by following the guidelines for the casino game ban, and use our own judgment, if in doubt, either file a ticket asking, or do not get it/use it

Thanks Rhoarth, though my biggest problem is finding games that match or come close to matching the theme. Most seem to be geared towards flashy nightclub establishments which this will not be. From there I can go on the Legal, Not Legal warpath...

Side question... If I find sploders or club games for sale that are confirmed to be under the Gambling Ban, should I report them? From what I recall there was no ruling on selling these games as being illegal. Personally I would think yes, but I am putting the question out there anyway.

Sounds like my En Garde! fencing game might be a good match for you.

You can try it out at the En Garde Arena in the Malrif sim.

A little game that we all like to play called "Hide the Sausage" is not only legal but seemingly mandatory in Second Life.

One alternative is to have theme-appropriate costume contests. Perhaps best royal costume, best peasant, etc. Or pick a color, with best green costume being the obvious recent one. There are devices for tracking participants and votes.

As for reporting sales of items that appear illegal, you should first be very, very sure. It's not always clear from the product description. Unfortunately, there may be no way to tell for sure without actually buying and trying something.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by matching the theme of the place? Do you mean the appearance of the game? You can custom build the way you want the object to look and then hire a game maker to script it for whatever games might interest you. I know that is what some people do.

It's just as illegal to sell the games as it is to play them. I don't understand why griefing tools don't have the same restrictions. Whether you choose to AR them or not is a personal decision for you to make.

Actually there is nothing in the stated policy that makes it illegal to make the games. There is nothing in the stated policy restricting selling them or purchasing them either. The restriction is on the actual act of wagering. The reason why most game makers ask Linden Lab if a game is allowed is because they don't want to waste their time making a product that will not sell.

Yes, but didn't they swoop around and delete or return to inventory all the "illegal" games that were for sale? I thought that occurred soon after the new policy went into effect.

Might be kind of like drugs here in Cali. You can buy bongs, meth pipes and all sorts of drug paraphernalia. It's only illegal to use them. LOL.

Linden Lab never made any statement that it would do so and I have never heard of any such action. Everything that Linden Lab has posted is quite to the contrary. It stated several times that it would not proactively enforce the policy but would rely instead on resident AR's.

Yes, I know they stated they would only act on AR's, but I thought for sure I'd remembered them cleaning out sellers in the beginning. Must have been the sellers cleaning out themselves and I'm just remembering it incorrectly.

You've been using those bongs!
