I've just sold my land and hold no other land whatsoever. I've just updated the Tier category to L$0 and it's still saying my monthly billing cost is US$29 even though it should be nothing. It shows that I can hold upto 512 sq.m of land for free (that part has updated correctly), but what about the monthly cost? How do I get it back to zero because I need this sorting real soon as my next billing date is 1st Jan!

Unfortunately, since you owned that land land during this billing cycle, you will have to pay $29 on your next billing date (since Jan 1 has come and gone, I assume you mean Feb 1). After that, your payment will go back to $0 for March.

If you own land for even one day in a Billing cycle you have to pay teir, selling land just before the end will only help you on the next months billing cycle. I had someone pull out their teir donation to my group just a couple days before the end of one billing cycle and I owed for the whole month, its just the way LL treats it.

Sorry, I meant it's due February 1st When I paid for tier I already paid upfront (at least I think I did), so to my reckoning I do not own land now (and I haven't gone into February), so it should be zero now, surely? Just incase I got that wrong, are you saying it should only start to show zero from 1st February?

You must have owned the land in December at some point which is why you were billed in January as well. Now that you no longer own land, after the $29 is deducted on Feb. 1, your tier will show you owe $0 and that your next due date is March 1. If you buy more land in Feb., that amount will change based on how much you buy.

You pay mainland tier behind. When you buy your first parcel that you owe tier on, you don't get billed tier for a month.

Hmmm... I think there's something wrong here. As you know, I sold my land on 30th Jan, and from what I was told I would not expect my Tier to show $0 until February, right? Well, now it's February and it's still there, only now it's saying my next bill date is 1st March. Now that's not right, surely? ...not when I've had 'no' land at all as of 30/31st January.

Was that land that you sold Group land? If so, you would have still to withdraw your tier contribution to the group. Having a contribution to a group is the same as holding land for ier billing purposes - even if the group owns no land.

No, it was just my own land - sold without problem (no groups involved). So, is this wrong do you think? Should I contact Linden Labs, or am I doing something wrong here?
