I'm a co-business owner. When our business first got started I figured it would be a lot of fun. You know, I was a nOOb at the time and didn't know squat about building or photoshop so I thought it would be exciting to learn new skills and just be partners in a business for fun. My SL bf was the primary builder/texture artist who never had that chance to start up before.
Now that months have passed and I've learned a lot about those skills, dealing with our copy-cat neighbor has just made business owning... boring!! I'm getting quite frustrated trying to beat him... my SL bf (now in RL) is just putting up with it, but I know he's starting to feel annoyed by it too.
Just today we noticed that not only did he copy my bf's furniture design (as stated in a previous thread.. too far back to find and bump) but he copied a shirt that my SL bf made back in 2006... and just started to sell when we started the shop.
Umm, not only that but they've pretty much copied everything about us. Not just building ideas, texturing ideas, but same hair and body shape... our copy-cat's girlfriend almost looks exactly like me, and he looks exactly like my bf!!
It's getting annoying!! Driving me nuts!! Their camping of several different alts have completely lagged the sim!!
I want to move, but my bf rents not me so it's entirely up to him if we leave.
We would talk to the land owner, but even though she is nice, she is just too forgiving... of course she don't want to upset either of us because she likes the payment she gets.

Yes we've thought about it, however we are getting one of the best deals on rent we can find and not only is it our business location... it's our residence too. We have banned the copy-cat from our land, but his land is extremely close it doesn't take much to use cam controls to look at what we are doing |

Hmm, unfortunately the only contact we've had was when we caught them fooling around with our private skybox. We told him to stay off our land and banned him. So I assume if he has no respect for other's privacies... he's not very friendly. |

That is just too weird for words. How freakish and annoying can some people be?
One temporary solution (maybe): change your appearances to something really ridiculous. I doubt they will follow suit. Or just ignore them, as hard as that might be. Frankly I would move and ban them like someone else suggested. Though they probably have alts to get around that. |
