You can report abuse inworld under the Help menu > Report Abuse. The abuse system should be used for reports of other Residents not abiding by the Community Standards. To find out more about submitting good abuse reports, please visit our Knowledge Base
when i click to report abuse i can't fill in a name so cant report the abuse,i can fill in everything else,region,ect,but cannot file the abuse report because it requires a 'name' of person

If the individual or an object created by the individual is present, you can click on that and get a name into the AR slot for names. If there isn't, you can use the search window associated with the AR to search for the aqvatar name. When i t pops up, you can click that and get it posted in the AR. If you don't have a nme, it is a problem. Some suggest putting your own name in there and explaining your problem about names in the AR; I hesitate to try it, knowing how hasty people with a lot on their minds can make mistakes about stuff like that. Some recommend putting Philip Linden in there, and THEN explaining why you used it in your comments. Haven't tried that, but it sounds like a wiser alternative to me.

I'm not sure if this is what you're seeing, but there has been a long term bug which prevents the Person Chooser 'Select' button from highlighting unless you have at least one Calling Card in inventory...it doesn't matter whose card. I've seen it in Group and Land tools, but I don't know whether it also extends to the Abuse Reporting system.
