I've only ever bought L$ with a credit card, and that was a long time ago, so I can't help you, but I'll do my bit to keep this thread high on the first page. I do know that there are people who come here who will be able to advise you.

What company issued the debit card? I switched from paypal to a pre-paid debit card in 2005 for SL usage after someone got into my account and charged Lindens to me. At least with a pre paid card they can only spend what I place on the card.

I do not know of any pre paid cards that do not accept Linden Lab charges. Check to make sure that the card does not have any cash holds on it for purchases not yet fully billed.

it's a visa,
it can be used like any other credit card..
i click deposit USD and then it keeps bringing me to paypal,
but i dont want that.

Why do you want to use Xstreet?

Do it via the standard SL site.
There you can choose to use paypal or a credit/debit card and it should work.

You can even create a paypal account and link your visa to it in case this does not work.

I'm trying to use xstreet,
but its not letting me do it using a standard credit card..
i don't want to use paypal.
but there is no option for me, wether i want to use credit card or paypal,

You can use your credit card via the website of SL.
(xstreet is owned by LL/SL)

Oh, you are trying to LOAD USD on the card. If you are not going to one of their locations abd loading cash manually then you would need to use paypal. Look up their closest location so you can add cash. Then you can use the card for purchases.
If that card has no local load stores then see about the debit card oferred from Walmart (if there is a Walmart next to you). Also look into the GreenDot debit card. CVS Pharmacy carries that card and you can go to teh store cashier and add money.

thats what im trying to do, but it doesn't give me the option of credit card or paypal, it just says "directing you to paypal"
