The only othe way is to have LL put the US$ directly into your bank account, but they only do that for US$10,000 or more.

Why do I always think that the no Paypal/no credit card/no bank account folks are a good place to hunt for the underage?

Bear in mind that many non-Americans do not have access to PayPal, and in many countries their credit cards are not recognized internationally.

Well Im not Underaged, I have a CC, But there no way I see how to get $ onto it from SL. I sued PP a few years back and won, but now I dont have a PP account so I cant use it

I refuse to use PayPal, and many people are the same, so direct deposit into a bank account is the only way left these days, but how many people in SL can cash out US$10,000 or more?

Not I, I make about $100 weekly. probley blow half that and give a lot away. But I would like to have some of my hard earned Lindens to spend... Guess thats a pipe dream

Ask your *bank* or other trustworthy person to open a paypal account. You can send money to *any* valid paypal account, not just your own.

Maybe, But I dont understand why LL wont just pay in any form, Like Check, or CC payments, Heck, they should stant thre own Dept Card for it LOL

You can sell your L$ through third-party services. I believe Anshe Chung runs an exchange.

Not sure if I'd consider that a trustworthy exchange. It should be noted that LL will waive the limitation on direct deposit if you live in a country that you cannot get Paypal in, I don't have the exact KB reference for that but it's buried in there somewhere. If you won't use Paypal because you choose not to then that's really your problem and you're out of luck, not that there aren't many good reasons to distrust paypal.

They used to send cheques until the end of last year. They claimed it was time-consuming which wasn't true, except that doing anything takes a small amount of time. As I said in another thread, LL is not a professionally run company. We are dealing with amateurs in some respects, including in this one, so we have to accept that we'll get amateur-type services.

They do seem to want to have it both ways: benefit from a reputation as a place where people can earn real cash, yet not have to pay out the cash that people earn.

can't they use like cheque printers, or somthing like automated wire transfers or some other type of automated money transfer ssystem?

They did have such a system for cheques, but they didn't want to do it any more. Maybe they don't want to send somebody to post the cheques.

Companies like Google manage to pay people both by cheque and by direct deposit, and they do it for small amounts (usually $100+). Google is big and LL is small by comparison, but there are plenty of smaller companies doing the same as Google and paying the same small amounts in the same ways. The big difference between those companies and LL is that it's a huge part of the profit-making business for those companies, whereas it isn't any part of LL's profit-making business, or it's such a tiny part of it that they can't be bothered with it.

I get regular cheques sent in Dollars from CCBILL in the USA to me here in Holland and even when they are low amounts such as 38 dollars I still only pay a 94 cent processing fee per cheque and they send me cheques every 2 weeks as well.

I don't know CCBILL - what do they do? Google deposits money into my bank account every month, and they've never asked for all the details that LL ask for. But they need to do it because it's their business. It isn't LL's business to give people their money, so they virtually opt out. They'll readily give it to a 3rd party (PayPal) for you, but that's not giving it to the person who owns it. As a system where people can make real money, SL sucks bigtime, and LL are amateurs.
