Empty folders

I have each of my products packaged in a folder, usually with the object and a notecard. Lately (last month) it happened several times that my customers bought the product, received the folder in their inventory but with only the notecard and not the object itself. Of course I deliver the object afterwards, but do more shop owners have this problem?

Few times I received items sometimes if I don't know what is in folder, folder won't open perhaps the asset server doesn't know to open the folder even when you search for it but usually if I erase the name in search but keep item selected it opens up.
Sometimes it just confusing when you can't get it to reveal it's contents one thinks there is nothing there except empty folder.

@ Ralektra: There are no no-transfer items in the object. And the strange thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. Usually there is no problem at all. But I've noticed that the empty folder issue occurs more often now than it used to.

@ FD: I'm afraid I don't understand your reply completely. You mean it's an occasional asset server prob?

All in all, it doesn't happen very often. Maybe 1 out of 20 transactions. But I just wondered if other shop owners also see this issue.

I had an issue in the past where items purchased from a vendor don't transfer ALL of the items in contents. Hasn't happened in a while, but there's always a next time in SL.

Sometimes people will do do an inventory search for something and then complain that they only got some of the items because not everything in the folder had the name of the product in it. For example, if someone purchased a house and there was a notecard named "Instructions" in the folder and they searched on the house name, the notecard doesn't show up.

I haven't had this problem, nor have I had complaints concerning this problem. Oh, sure, I've had complaints of the main object simply not showing up, but never after the folder is unpacked.

If you notice this happening often, you might want to write/note times, dates, what objects were affected and then check the grid status blog, to see if they aren't doing inventory maint.

I don't know but there are times I have had very odd things happen with my inventory and contents that may not happen to others.
Example I went to a texture shop a while back I purchased "Gray Stone Victorian Walls"
I copy and paste the item "Gray Stone Victorian Walls" the folder shows up but it will not open, looks empty. Then I erase the word, inventory reloads manually look for folder in list folder opens up but it won't open when I have the exact file name written in search window.
This will even happen if I type a regular system folder.
I don't know why it just happens.
I have weird issues with my inventory and contents all the time. And I have no clue why.
I get really bizarre issues where things just don't work.
All last night setting up vendor boxes I couldn't drag items, nor delete items from inventory.
It is happens in cycles for me. It might have been because when I logged in there was 70k online and SL just was lagging major for me.

This does happen when LL is having asset server problems. I've seen simpler cases myself, buying a product directly (using right-click, buy), I get the blue popup saying i've bought, and no item gets delivered.

It's rare these days, but it does happen.

When it does, be sure to check your transaction history (on the web) to make sure the person did buy your product. It generally does appear.

My products are copiable, so I'm always happy to give one to someone who bought, even if they lost it somehow -- they can't be scamming me. If your products are transferrable, you could be scammed this way, but not multiple times by the same avatar if you keep notes (I note it in their profile).

If it happens a lot and persistently, make sure your vendor is working properly -- maybe try a new one.
