Only LL could determine that, but have you consider to just leave them alone? Are they both consenting adults? If his wife believes him, who are you to spoil his fun?

LL will release the details if they are served with a warrant or a court order. Other than that, no, there is no way of knowing for sure.

But why does this potential infidelity concern you in the first place?

Because that is not PROOF. It is nothing more than coincidence no matter how much you would like to think otherwise.

There is alot more to the story than what I said. You can judge me all you want by what little info I gave you I dont care. But my question was about being able to identify whether two alts were run by the same person. I have my answer.

even if you are right, all you can do is be quiet and be supportive of your friend. You have mentioned it to them once, so now just let it be.

If the infidelity is within Second Life, between avatars - forget it, when all's said and done it's just a game.

You won't be able to trace whether the two avatars are alts. You might be able to observe evidence that indicates that they might be alts, but that's all.

But I'd just leave the whole business alone.

ya there is a way..make an alt and monitor yourself otherwise it is none of your business what anyone else does on sl unless they are directly harming you..then you just AR them and let lindens handle them..

If this were occuring in RL instead of SL, you running around spying on him flirting or whatever else with other women may bring your case to light, sure - but you also run the risk of losing a friend, making an enemy or three, and getting yourself brought up on charges for invasion of privacy, defamation of character and more.

SL drama would be cut in half if others would just butt out and mind their own business. You told her, you gave her what evidence you had - now live your own life instead of becoming entangled in theirs.

I find it amazing how many people have their head up other peoples asses in SL.

Truth is, if some sort of infidelity is going on, there are always signs in some way - whether or not everyone wants to see them. Therefore, if your friend has not already seen indications that something is going on, either 1) nothing is really going on or 2) your friend does not want to see it. In either case, telling her sure is not going to do any good.
