Combining Teirs to live rent free.
I'm hoping that someone out here can help me.

My wife and I are both new to SL and we have found a 1024 that we would really like to buy. We would like to know how we can do this so that we can avoid the teir charge. Is there a way that we can combine our premium teirs together an apply them towards the maintenance on a single 1024 plot?

I don't know if it makes any difference but we already have our own group.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The answer is YES, you can do exactly that, as long as you buy land on the SL Mainland (use this term to narrow your search), not Island or Estate land.

When you have found the perfect plot of land or lands, you can right click on it, select "About Land", then when you go to purchase it you want to select "Purchase for Group" and "Allow Deed to Group", and select the correct group. This will purchase the land under the group name and deed your tier to the group.

(You can also buy the land as yourself and then transfer it to the group after, but this way is easier.)

Note, depending upon your settings you may need to have this group set as "active" when you rezz/build things or it will return them to you.

Oooo, as a newb, I found this out the hard way:

Make sure it's a group you and your wife are the owners of. Otherwise, the group owners can sell it off without compensation to you.

The game is a foot.

Of course over at "That Thread" we will likely post 100 or so replies within the next hour.. so you have a challenge before you.
