I have a potential problem lurking on my land border that threatens the grid, yet with the Lindens increasingly isolating themselves within their Ivory Tower and limiting our ways of contact them, how do you contact one quickly short of IMing a bunch to see who is online?
One of my neighbor's plots of land is basically abandoned as they never show up on it and it has been collecting random newbie/noob crap for a while now. Currently it is infested with self replicating cubs emitting sounds. Lucking the rest of us around it don't let outside objects in so they have not escaped.. yet.
I abuse reported it but after the whole "report anything you don't like" policy that method is just a joke and not a solution that I expect any response from.
It reminds of the situation where you call 911 and no one answers.

You can try submitting a ticket through the support portal. https://secure-web10.secondlife.com/community/support.phpIf you are a premium member, I believe you will have access to a special in world help chat-line with Lindens. You will need a second opinion on that because I am not a premium member. You can also try pm-ing Spike or Teeple Linden, or leaving them a notecard describing the situation. I've seen both of them come to the rescue on a few occasions.

As far as I know, nobody has _in world_ chat with Lindens.
Concierge users have the Concierge Information Group, which _used_ to regularly have Lindens on it, but I haven't seen any there recently.

To submit a ticket you need to have at least a week off just to be able to complete the hundred and one clicks you need to do in order to go from A to B to C to... It's ridiculous the amount of places you have to keep jumping to in order to submit a blasted ticket. And then chances are really good they won't ever answer you to begin with.

From: Shard Soyinka how do you contact one quickly short of IMing a bunch to see who is online? Do a live chat, which is available to all premium accounts. Here is how to get there: 1) Log on to the support portal 2) Select the Solution Finder 3) Select a category (doesn't matter which) 4) Under "View Popular Topics", click "My answer is not here". 5) Under Search, enter a word and search it (like "stuff" 6) On the search results page, click "My answer is not here" 7) You will now be given the option to submit a ticket, or to use Live Chat. Select the live chat link for the appropriate option: billing, inworld, or outworld. (It's 24 hours a day now, but you'll still get the "we're not here" message occasionally... just try again later.) If you pay $125 or more per month in tier, you are eligible for concierge service. Just click on the concierge link on the support portal main page, and you will be given a direct link to live chat. From: Yumi Murakami As far as I know, nobody has _in world_ chat with Lindens. Who you calling a nobody, Yumi! Yes, that's right, I have chatted with Lindens inworld. Three times, in fact. All three times, I asked for inworld help in Live Chat, and a Linden was there to help me within 1-2 minutes. (And I'm not even concierge!)

You could put an old slot machine on the property, since its apparently not set to auto-return, and then AR the machine.
You are likely to get a Linden to check the property faster that way.
Want realllllly fast service? Take a screenshot of yourself dressed up like a little Lolita sitting on top of the slot machine to include in your AR.
Betcha the property is clean in a jiffy.

Betcha the property is clean in a jiffy. that might work, but im quite sure the avatar that put the slot machine on the property would get suspended.

Good advice.
I would add, dial back your anxiety level. The attack you describe doesn't "threaten the grid", although it might lag, or even crash, your sim. Take a deep breath, then off you go on your Linden Hunt.
By the way, I saw a gadget on SL Exchange that will tell you what Lindens are online at any given time. Whether any of them will see or respond to your IM, I couldn't say.

From: Shard Soyinka I have a potential problem lurking on my land border that threatens the grid i don't think that's a grid wide threat, but certainly a sim-wide one. if it's been contained to one sim all owned by the same owner, and all the surrounding sims have it blocked from entry, then i see no problems with it escaping and heading your way. block the visuals off with walls until your support ticket is answered, and hope that the noise doesn't penetrate your sim too badly until the Lindens come handle it. best of luck!

I was overstating it a bit in the hopes of getting some attention faster. Someone did come by and delete the objects.
Really though, this sort of thing just seams to illustrate a very negative trend on the part of LL. They keep separating themselves from the users, isolating themselves further from the population that is effected by their decisions and policies.

At the very least, I go to Torley's office hours on Friday, but I also have taken to going to the Governanace office hours. Oh, and the Windlight ones, too, but I always forget when those are. Anyway, ya, send in a ticket, and maybe go to a Governance meeting. I believe there's one this Saturday, and for sure ones next week (W-F, cuz of the holiday) at 10:00 a.m. SLT, in Kremer. Mari

Oh, and the Windlight ones, too, but I always forget when those are. I'm sorry, I should have clarified there: Nobody has the ability to make _initial_ contact with a Linden in-world, for resolution of a technical issue. You can meet Lindens in their office hours, but that's more for general development and discussion than technical support; or, you can make contact in off-world chat and then move the conversation in-world.
