It seems that no-one here can log in.
It gets past all the kerfuffle of logging in until it reaches Waiting for Reigon Handshake. then it auto logs back out with the message "We're having trouble connecting, There may be a problem with your internet connection or the Second Life servers.
You can either check your internet connection or.... blah blah blah"
anyone else having this problem
There are 3 buttons "OK, Help and Teleport" BUT the log in screen is behind it, not the normal SL interface
never had or ever heard of this problem b4.
Tried in 3 different cyber cafe's, 2 different internet signals and on all 3 of my accounts (1 of wich uses a completely different email address)
And i have tried 7 different reigons, including help island

I been logging in on and off all morning and not had a problem. Some ISP's have been known to block access to SL in the past and if you are trying to axess from an internet cafe then it could be that the ISP or the cafe sys admin has catagorised it as unsuitable or unsafe. There was one instant a couple of years ago where BT blocked all axess to SL servers from the UK for a couple of days and it was only after endless customer complaints that we got them re-opened. This seems unlikely but allways possible.

I'm straight in, so it's not a specifically UK problem. There's notice of a rolling restart in the blog, but you'd be unlucky to hit down regions so many times. I can tell you as I write this that the snow regions are up, so you could try Hanson, Pando, Loon etc. Possibly your ISP? I don't know what else to suggest.

Pork! I am using the housing associations wireless connection (yes they know i am using it, they gave me the wireless key) not sure how its configured downstairs on the router, and i have been permission 2 log on and alter setting so long as it doesnt bork there internet connections, but i cant find the routers gateway, i tried the defaul ip address but no luck. and did the old ipconfig /all, and tried the gateway address in there, still no luck dont know how they've configured it but it seems i cant listen to internet radio stations on winamp either anyone got any experience in this? all i know is there is a wireless linksys thing that broadcasts the wireless (only 1 connection on the back), and there seems 2 be another main router and obviously a modem. There are 2 PC's connected hardwired into the router, and i am the only person connecting wirelessly

From: Chaos Markstein I am using the housing associations wireless connection (yes they know i am using it, they gave me the wireless key) Officially SL doesn't work with wireless connections at all. Otherwise, as long as no outgoing routes are being blocked, you should be OK - SL doesn't initiate any connections to you. Probably some clever person, with little idea about the scope of the internet, has decided to limit all but port 80..

I'm in from the UK and have been using both the 'normal' viewer and the latest RC version.
I'm also using a wireless connection...and always do.
No problems for me at all today, if anything it seems more stable than ever.
*cue major crash*
