Does Windlight have personal lights? If so how do I turn them on?

Does land have to be deeded to the group for group members to be able to set the land as their home location?

First one I don't know but it's a yes to land needing to be deeded for group members to be able to set it as home, which is silly in my opinion but that's the way it works.

Actually it doesn't need to be deeded, just set.(and the option needs to be chosen in the group panel to allow members to set homes on parcels...)

ETA: This was on a private island plot.I never tried it on mainland,I always just deeded it there.

Members of a group can't set their home location when land is only set to a group and not deeded: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-404

Unless they've fixed that, which I haven't heard about, I'm not sure how you're managing to do this on private islands.

What do you mean by 'personal' lights? Not entirely what you're asking, but windlight has all the same basic options as the regular viewer, plus the atmospheric rendering and all the bells & whistles that go along with it..... But not sure what you mean by personal lights.

When you installed Windlight - it may have turned "Local lighting" off.

You will have to go through your graphics options and turn it back on.

I don't remember exactly but you may have to open the custom settings.

At the low quality settings local lighting is off,

At medium/higher settings local lighting is on.

Grant it,this was AFTER I tried to deed the private plot to group and failed.(Something the island owner needs to do I found out later) So maybe that had something to do with it?

I'll have to try it, that's a setting that I don't believe should need group deeded land to work so if it's working, then it's good news :)

Yes, that's the borked version. It isn't meant to be that way and wasn't originally.

Well apparently it's by design, the borked version was apparently the version that allowed you to do it without deeding the land. I know which version I prefer ;)
