How do I stop my avi dancing?? Someone helped me start because I did not know how-and no lime jelly here. Also my "stand up" option is not visible.
And: a few times I have teleported while still sitting or dancing (forgot to stand up) and this activity continues in the next land. Is there a way to correct this without returning to the previous land or restarting SL?

In the "Tools" menu, look for "Stop All Animations". This usually fixes that.

There is a stop all animations thing in the tools menu but sometimes it doesn't work. There are lots and lots of gadgets with stop animations scripts in them and they work better, there's one in mystitool if you have that.

Thanks!
Yes, I found the stop animation tool. But it did not work until someone told me to try it again from where I was on Help Island Public. Thank goodness it worked better from there. I see this is potential for major blushing moments depending upon what one might be doing here in SL, lol!

I know I have often TP'd home from a club when my partner gets online and still been dancing because I forget to click on the dance ball again to stop the animation. I'm not certain all dance balls/floors etc work in the same way but majority I've found require you to click again in order to stop dancing. That said, my partner finds it hilarious watching me land still raving around like a lunatic!

What is really frustrating/confusing/hilarious is when you look like you've stopped dancing in your view, but to everyone else, you're still animated. I've been on both sides of that conversation.
-- 5 minutes after clicking "Stop animations" someone says, "Why are you still dancing?" -- "I'm not dancing." -- "Yes you are." (others in area agree in chat.) -- Click another "stop animation," and ask if you're still animated. -- "Yes, you're still dancing." -- repeat
But the best is when someone doesn't know he looks like he's dancing, then he sits down, and his avi is dancing while sitting.
