Suggestion

If we discover we want to change our name the only way is to register a new account correct? But what if we want to keep all the inventory items we have got? Why not provide somewhere we can put them into storage, protect them with a password, then when we register another account, we could go to the storage, use the password we set and recover our things for our new av.

Maybe someone could build one of these things? Just a idea, if it gets used do I get $Ls!? LOL

You will need to get all the individual creators of all your inventory items to agree to let you transfer the items they worked hard to make.........that ain't gonna happen.

It would be nice to link your accounts together in a way that allows you to send non transfer things among only YOUR alts. This would have to be done in a way that verifies your ID or some such thing, but it would be awesome. Just my opinion, since it wouldnt be transfering it to anyone else, just another av. Same person sorta deals. I dont see it happening though, ever.

Don't think it can be possible, no transfer stuff will be kept on the boxes (I s'ppose), and as they said, if creators don't allow this there's no way to change it.

Nice idea, but don't see how it's possible with no trans items, unless the permision system is changed. And if it was changed so you could transfer anything between alts you wouldn't need the storage.

Put everything out and up for sale for $1L and buy it all real quick under your new name. lol

if you want to sell the poduct, you've got to think like the customer....

doing this (or something similar) would reduce strain on the asset servers by preventing extra load of duplicate items in multiple inventories... account linking would be limited to once only to prevent theft issues, and anyone foolish enough to link their account with someone elses would have to suffer the possible consequence of theft at their own risk (because sharing acount info is strictly verboten) this would further allow LL to divise statistics on alt usage dividing it from multiple accounts in the same houshold (as reported by ip usage).

there could be a special 'shared' folder for linked accounts, if you wanted to use an item across accounts you'd need to put it there.

Can't you just give it all away to your new name?
