I have a couple of different issues that I haven't heard anyone else complain of and I need to know if it is just me as this is seriously affecting my SL life. For several days now I cannot upload anything. I have quite a pile of clothing waiting to be uploaded to SL and the server fails every time. I have tried going to different sims, I have emptied my textures and cache and nothing helps. Also my folders are all messed up. I went into the trash last night and there were good folders in it and gestures are in clothing...folders inside other folders. It's insane. I would think the forums would be rocking if this was far spread so anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Sorry to hear that! Sounds bad.
If you have done the cache clearing, you could try: (i) Reinstalling the client, (ii) logging on with an alt and see if it works that way. (iii) Use another client (e.g. Windlight vs. Standard viewer). This should give you some material to (iv) raise a support ticket to get your inventory straightened out.
It sounds as if the server f***ed up your inventory database.

try the SLImageUpload download at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/SLImageUploadif its you client this would work its an outside program for uploading, but it sounds like lindens messed up your inventory i would contact them if its really messed up also i would stay away from any other viewer like windlight thats just asking for bugs on top of the bug we already have.

From what you have said about your folders, it sounds like your inventory may have been corrupted. Get in touch with support; I had a similar problem on an alt a couple of months ago, and LL fixed it. |

Wiccan, have you tried completely deleting your cache and other local secondlife data? You will have to reset your preferences, but other than that there are no bad consequences, and there is no risk. Sometimes that works when clearing the cache does not.
To do this, delete the secondlife folder, which on a PC is at:
C:\Documents and Settings\<your userid>\Application Data\SecondLife
Also delete as much as you can from your Temp folder.

Yup, if it was just the uploading, I'd have said update the video drivers since they seem to be linked to that.. but with the folders gone crazy, you may wanna contact Linden Labs and be grateful that the uploads are failing. Yeah, I know this sounds absolutely silly, but if the folders are messed up, then they might not have 'saved' anyways.

From a completely different corner - try checking your firewall settings. Sometimes they do weird stunts on all kinds of internet applications. Sometimes they even change their own settings around overnight when they do an update you didn't even notice was happening. Security software could block your uploads and the correct download of inventory data...

I deleted the SL fonder and the temp files and I am fixed!! TYTYTY!! Uploading clothing as I type.
