Last night was prime example of clothing not showing up on my avi when I had TPed to another location. I had just got through changing clothes before TPing and they were still rezing in my viewer, but TP'd any way...when I arrived, I was asked to put some clothes on. I said OK and commenced to change again adding a different pair of pants. A few minutes later I was asked if I would PLEASE put on some clothes. I then asked the young lady in distress to try pointing her mouse at my avi and press CONTROL-ALT-R...After about a minute she told me my clothes showed up. I had seen the clothes on me, but she saw a naked male avi. Has anyone hadesomething similar to them, and what solutions have you found?

EVERY time I transported last night, my friend and I ended up at our destination with one of us bald but for one lock of hair, half of a pair of sunglasses on, and I lost my skirt one time. Not a fun evening, coupled with the 14 crashes I experienced yesterday.

Mm and seeing unusually high packet losses even on different networks. Maybe the tubes are just clogged with many people having extra time off at the end of the year?

No one complains when I end up naked. Only kidding, no it hasn't happened to me at all lately. As a matter of fact, I've not had to pull my hair or shoes out of my butt in ages. A nice change!

Avies are made up of a bunch of layered textures, which is apparantly quite slow to render them all on top of one another in real-time so what happens instead is that you download all the clothes (layer textures) you're wearing and *your* puter will make a few composite textures with all the layers together (your "baked textures" . Those baked textures are then uploaded to the sim as a temporary asset, but you'll always see the baked textures your puter baked for you (which is why you always look fine to yourself). When you tp from one sim to another, your baked texture is part of the whole bunch of information that gets transferred from one sim to another. What happened in your case is that you didn't leave time for the baked textures to get uploaded to the sim so when you tp'ed you ended up with your last set of textures (if you uploaded and something went wrong, you'll end up with the "missing image" . Moral of the story: how you look to yourself doesn't really matter, it's the baked textures on the sim that determines how you'll look to everyone else. If someone sees you wrong, you're the one that has to fix that, there's nothing truly wrong on the other person's end. Also, don't tp right after changing because you'll either end up "missing", or looking the way you did before you changed (or if you do, rebake yourself right after the tp to make sure things look fine).

I was having all sorts of problems last night, with TP, clothing lag... It was horrible the only thing I could do was snuggle and chat. Which wasn't to bad.. ; )) but I needed to build and it was taking forever for my things to rezz and return to inventory and ages for the inventory file to finish loading
