I was looking at the membership plans since I got the crazy idea to consider upgrading to premium. When is the $1000L applied to the account, since it says new registrations only does that mean only people who upgrade to premium immediatly after creating an avatar?

If you do it later, no 1000L bonus. |

Ahh... clever marketing ploy... It doesn't really matter since $1000L is like 4 or 5usd? Thanks everyone

I came to SL in Sept 2006 and went Premium a month later. I clearly remember getting the L$1000 signup bonus because I went and bought 2 crappy little 16m plots of land with it for about L$400 each (land was much more expensive then!).
I don't know if the arrangement has changed since then.

Don't forget the referral bonus though. If you put in a friend's name when you originally joined they will get some cash if you go premium. I think it's about L$1000 but split over two payments.
