How do you keep the map from showing the number of avs on your access restricted island?

Dilbert - Yes I did, that doesn't seem to do the trick but thank you for the suggestion.

I don't know if it's possible to have the island on the map but have it not report the number of avs / green dots.

If the island is access restricted, then you can make the island itself not appear on the map. Go into estate tools, estate tab and make sure there is no checkmark on the 'visible from mainland' box. This will make the island vanish from the map entirely and only people who have access via the region/estate tools (individually or by group) will be able to get there.

to my knowledge there is no such checkbox anymore??

And that ALL islands are visible on the map now (and have been for over 6 months) no matter what. Even if someone isn't on the access list to a private set island, they can still see it.. still see the green dots.. on the Map.

i just checked my estate tools and see no such checkbox any longer. (i am using the RC client though)...

Thank you for the replies. I checked and no that box isnt there anymore. I guess I will just have to deal with the green dots. Thanks !

Make a green megaprim and hang it over the island.
(I don't know if that would work but it's the first thing I thought of.)
The whole thing seems slightly sinister to me.

Dang Lindens always changing stuff. What else has changed the last few months?

Nah don't answer that - probably enough to fill a book.
