Problems with group IM chat

Everytime I try to add a comment to a group IM chat, I receive the following error message:

"Error messaging chat session with (group name).
***Error making request, please try again later."

This is not an isolated incident; I almost always get it. I'd never seen this message before, until I upgraded from Nicholaz Old School viewer to the Nicholaz Bleeding Edge-v. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, or if it is just a coincidence. I know SL has been making many changes lately too.

Anyone else get this message, or have any idea why I do? It's frustrating; I try to help people in group IM, and they never get my message! Individual IMs go through just fine. Only problem is with groups.

With me, it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I use both the regular and RC. It seems to give me that Error only when I really need to answer a question and help, or something similar. When I have nothing really important or intelligent to add, it works everytime.

I get this error even when I'm NOT trying to post anything to group chat. It seems to come up when someone in the group is trying send a message. For example, if the group owner sends out a notice a few seconds later I get the error. Or the error comes up in the middle of some people chatting in the group chat.

Most days/nights the Group IM for the Forum Cartel just plain doesn't work. And then there are occasions a group IM will come in. I'll glance at it and shrug, nothing to do with me, I'll think, and minimize the IM box. Then I'll get an error message, something about opening Group IM. I'll look at the IM box again, and heh, the Group IM that I didn't close, but had minimized is now completely missing.

I've had this error message in every group chat I've had over the last three weeks. Really irritating.

I've never seen that error but about 50% of the time everything I type comes up in the Group IM twice. It makes me hesitant to reply to any group IM's because I'm sure it's rather annoying to everyone else to see every line appear twice. I've only seen it happen to someone else one time, so I don't know if thats common or if I broke something.

I get that error almost all the time on the mentors group chat, and by the time I open the window to see who needs help, the group im window has closed

This could be a blessing for those times when group chat turns into a bunch of random not-that-interesting comments.

Me too. Group IM's haven't worked well for me for quite awhile.
