I've seen quite a lot of *stars* in people's group tags of late, but can't seem to find how to reproduce them for my own. Any group owners (or anyone else) care to share the secret? I did a character map and don't see them in the font either...

Hold down the Alt key, then type a number between 0 and 255 ON THE KEY PAD. Release Alt to get the symbol. There you go, instant ... thing.
Every character has a numerical value. ♥ = 3 @= 64 P = 80 }= 125 ╘ = 212 I have no idea off the top of my head what the star is. |

Google is your friend However, I can't get many of these to display for me in SL, apart from ones like @ which I could just type anyway. use the windows character map application to find the alt character you want, then use 'copy'.
once in sl, ctrl+v to paste the character. |

I have seen characters such as the star and skull used, where do these symbols come from? Are they system font specific? I have checked out Arial on the windows character map app and none of them show? This is stumping me :/
