I'm lazy, question on raw files

all I need to know, is how to get the heightmap off the region I am in...

when i do that, i can take the black n white image and turn it into a 3D model...and right now, that is important.

So...what will get me a heightmap of the void sim I am in?

I am not the owner...I am just building it.

Gotta log in with a "bot" client .. unfortunatly I'm too lazy to tell you witch.

I have several mapping gadgets that will let me get the SIM file of a island. I would need the permission of the Island Owner though to generate said map.

If you are working for the owner of the sim, they can download the .raw file to their own computer for you and e-mail it to you. I do this frequently with my clients. In my opinion, that is the appropriate way to do it - with the permission of the sim owner.

If you are not the sim owner and do not have the cooperation of the owner... Well, there are mapping tools that can do this, if scripts are allowed sim-wide, and if object entry is not prohibited anywhere in the sim.

well its good to know the owner can...but how does the owner do it. Alot of the posts and discussions I see are based on what you can and cannot do and what is easy and what is not, but the method on getting it done. Is missing x.x

so how would my friend download the raw file? Using that program? Or can it be done without it?

World->Region/Estate…, Terrain tab, click the download button. That's where the new one can be uploaded and baked too.
