How do I make my online status not available to people on my friends list? I unchecked the box at the bottom but it seems they can still see me. How does a person change it when you need a little "alone" time?

In the contacts list, uncheck the "can see my online status" box for each avatar you don't want able to tell when you're online or not. That's all you can do. If they can still tell you're online then perhaps the feature is broken? I've never tested it.

If you are in any groups that your friends are in they will be able to see that your online in them. If i need alone time, I tend to use the busy feature and set it to say that I am not being rude and I will get back to them  |
