same issue with lag, but different, general questions:
If using Mega Prims, does having it phantom decrease the lag issue?
Do scuplties cause lag?

Honestly, I don't know for sure, but I can hazard a guess.
I don't know about the mega-prims being phantom, but I'd assume that it turns off the basic collisions for the physics engine.. which would decrease the server-side lag.
As for sculpties? Well, I've noticed that there is a bit of lag time on the end of the client/network on waiting for them to download.. otherwise, they shouldn't have a problem server side. They are treated as spheres/half spheres by the physics engine, if I read the information correctly.

1) Yes. It lowers the overall sim-lag. Client-lag will depend on build, texture, shape, and cut/twist of the mega-prims.
EDIT: The more stupid sizes (like the prims the size of a sim) wreck chaos with the system. Prim shadows overlapping sim borders are a prim example. Common sense will lend you to know what is, and is not, a good idea here.
2) AS Raudf said; Complex TGA sculptie textures cause spikes in client-lag during rendering, though this lowers after rez. The system just sees the prim as a sphere, so no more sim-lag than any other sphere.
