I wish to sell or rent out my homesite, aside from the forums land rentals and slassified ads where else is it advisable to advertise?

Good question. XStreet used to have a category for advertising rentals, but it got deleted by the New Owners. They admit something's needed, but (surprise) nothing yet.
if you are SELLING your land, you can list it on XStreet. I guess "sell or rent" might apply too

The slapt.me forums also have a sub-forum for land sales/rentals. Maybe some of the other 3rd party forum sites also.

SLUniverse is also a decent place to list land for rent/sale, they have a real estate section.

You could TRY contacting estates in game if your looking to sell and see if they would be interested, one of them MAY be, not sure.
