Hello, I am having problems with the above. I tried buying some L$ but LL don't like my credit card. So I decided to age verify, that went through ok and they said I was verified.

However, My profile does not say age verified and I am now stuck. Any ideas?

Thanks

It can sometimes take a little while before it actually "takes". Also (once SL is back online again) you need to get the latest viewer and not only check it off in search but also in the "General" tab of preferences - there is a dropdown there. Make sure you select that you want to see the "Adult" stuff.

Profiles will show the new settings/status such as age verified, or (certain types of) payment on file, when the new viewer is installed. That's as I understand it.

Do you have the new viewer (I don't recommend doing so til the last minute)?

Your profile will never say age-verified. It's a secret between you and Linden Research Inc. and everyone who notices you can get into age-restricted parcels.

You can test it at various locations in-world, where you can try to get into an age-restricted parcel. The more general case of being adult-verified (either by payment info or by age verification) can be determined by trying to teleport to Arapaima (for example)--but you will need to set your desired Maturity level to include Adult, in Edit / Preferences / General in the new viewer, as Rygel said.

[ETA: The resident Profile *does* have information about payment info status, just not about age verification.]

Thanks for your replies.

I haven't downloaded the new viewer yet, having read on the forums thast it is buggy. When I can get in world I will go into preferences and do as you suggest.

I could swear I've seen some profiles that say it? (AV isn't new with Zindra.)

It has info about certain types of payment info. Other types will not be in profiles or count toward account verified status until the person uses the new viewer. Namely, registering at www.xstreetsl.com.

ooo! I didn't know that. Thanks!

Back when it was called "IDV", they promised us that the Aristotle verification status wouldn't be in Profiles, and there's no means of testing it by script. I think there was a brief interval when the status was accidentally revealed on the Profile, but if it's back again, I'm not happy about it--not because I think it really needs to be private, but because they claimed it had to be private and hence they couldn't give us an LSL function for it.
