Hi.. I recently made a small parcel (too allow a different music stream etc for a tenent) on my sim. But now I need to rejoin (delete) that parcel so it has the land values (media streams, etc) of my main island. Not sure which buttons to press to rejion/delete that parcel. Anyone help? cheers Talla.

Build>Land Tools>Select Land
Drag a selection box across the property line between the two parcels (you don't have to select the entire parcel, just across any small part where they meet) and then click Rejoin. Done!

Thanks.. that worked :) I was just worried by the warning message I got "suggesting" various values/settings on the main part of the island would be lost... but they weren't, so... cool. :) TY

because sometimes it will keep the settings of the small parcel, so you could have ended up with the settings you luckily deleted.

Is that an SL bug??? Or does it depend how I do it?

Ohh I've only read about this, no personal experience, the explanation was from a Linden though. I believe, but someone else will have to verify this though, that the problem is caused by the date of the parcel, i.e. which one came first, I even think sometimes it happens but there is no tangible explanation.

I also remember reading that size of the plot matters, the larger plot most often keeps it's settings, but again, not always.

It used to be a bug.. But a few updates back it was fixed to always keep settings from the largest parcel.. I personally haven't tested to see if the bug was fixed my self.

I believe that if you started the selection from the larger parcel over to the smaller one, it would keep the larger parcels settings. But if you started the selection process from the smaller parcel over to the larger parcel it would keep the smaller parcels settings.

I lost all my traffic count once when I added a smaller parcel to my club parcel.. after joining the 2 together my traffic went to 0. Wasn't that a fun one lol

well.. funnnily enough... if this helps... when I rejoined the parcel (after the advice warmly received here).... I tried joining the smaller to larger (i.e. child to parent) ... it wouldnt let me.. it simply said I couldnt do it. But.. drag a square from bigger to smaller (parent to child)... it did it no problem... but with that warning of setting loss that I mentioned further up the thread.

So.. TY all :)
