A few hours ago I was buiding some kind of MLP-furniture. Did put in all of the animations, most not copyable ofcourse, and when I wanted to put the various scripts into it it went kinda wrong. I'd draged the scripts from my inventory to the object inventory, this isn't the first time I've made a MLP kinda furniture, when I released my mousebutton to drop them into the prim, it just vanished. The furniture was gone and I thought it had returned to my inventory so I've checked but it wasn't there, logged out and back in hoping the furniture would be back in place but just nothing. Damn, just lost a nice load of animations. Does anyone have any idea where it could be gone to or is it just lost forever... ?

First I'd try clearing cache (Edit / Preferences / Network / Clear Cache) and relog. If that doesn't work, I'd recruit and accomplice to come look and see if the thing is visible to them; if it is, then you'd need to delete all the avatar-specific files on your viewer and try again to see it. (Note, that's not the same as reinstalling the SL program; where to find those files depends on which operating system is running on the viewer machine.)
If nobody can see it... then it's a lot more complicated. First, we don't know for sure if it's rezzed in-world, but just somewhere unexpected. (I've had some prims just "jump" to 256m altitude lately, when I've bumped them against the sim border, so... the thing could be anywhere.) A sensor script *might* help find it, *if* it's rezzed in-world, but that's very labor-intensive.
And then there's the whole messiness with parts of versions of MLP being blacklisted. I've never heard of it vanishing before one's very eyes, though, so dunno if that's anything to consider or not.

Ok, I've tried to look for it from another computer, but the thing wasn't there. Clearing cache didn't work neither... . I will try to use that sensor script if I find one and find out how it works. Hopefully it wasn't becase I was building the thing at an altitude over 500m and close to the sim border, if so I'll have to watch out next time I'm building a scripted thing like that ... !!!

well the item I talked about before seems to be lost, got a friend search for it inworld but he couldn't detect any trace of it... . Still don't know what went wrong, I've tried to build a new item at the same spot last night with the same MLP-scripts, did use some copyable animations now... lol, and all went nice and smooth like always. And maybe, who knows, my lost piece of furniture will turn up someday, somewhere... .
