Wow. The things you see when you randomly teleport some days.

I went to Ahern on a whim and ended up at Kent State in the 60s, so far minus the National Guard firing rounds into the crowd.

Does anyone seriously think that spamming a welcome sim for noobs is seriously going to do anything to make Linden change its mind? Honestly, if you're going to protest in a virtual world, standing in a lagged sim with protest signs and "screaming" F U LINDEN" is not the way to do it.

I'm actually amused by the vitriole between the "OMGZ IZ SPENZIV" crowd and the "GEEZ GET A REAL LIFE AND PROTEST SOMETHING WORTHWHILE" crowd.

I saved a noob today. He IMd me asking what the place was and I said "Chaos. Want some landmarks to some nicer places?"

Just doing my part to make it a better world.

Funny about the lemming launcher. I found a tamponshooter the other day, but the dang thing isn't transfer.

Could be fun.

There's another thread where people are complianing that a Linden started logging these protesters out and locking down their accounts for an hour.

Apparently, this is seen as LL violating the TOS..

Funny about the lemming launcher. I found a tamponshooter the other day, but the dang thing isn't transfer..

My friend made a sheep object for her magic rezzer wand a few days ago. It's a physical/temp object that drops down to the ground then stands up and runs around for a minute. You can even sit on them to ride them around. She went to the protest at the Linden Estate Services region last night to drop sheep on all the protesters but, sadly, they've disabled scripts there.

/me really wanted a screenshot of the crowd vs a sheep stampede. Oh well.. :\

They're complaining, sure, but the way I see it these people are all in a PG sim and using foul language. Some are naked. Some have genital attachments on.

All of that is against TOS but you won't see any of the people getting instabanned at these protests saying anything about that.

Funny how that works.

I'm just watching the chaos. A lot of these people do need to be logged off for a while.

Thanks this is hilarious for posting the images and stuff.
I particularly liked the "Lindens go home" I bet the Lindens
having to deal with all this wish they were home, taking nap or
eat bonbons in their big tubs at home watching the soaps.

Ah.. My lovely sheep minions..

I could have just dropped them on the protestors but that's not nearly as fun as watching the ships run around at random. Plus I don't have a llTakeControls in my rezzer wand (which I should put in someday) so I'd have to rez them all manually..

I was there too yesterday and while I agree with the right of people to voice their opinions, will someone please tell me what good it did apart from causing a lot of hostility and a few good laughs. Some of the protestors were rude crude and abusive to the non-protestors in the WA. The noobs that get dumped there after orientation must have wondered what the hell they got themselves into.

But what good did it do?? The people who frequently go to Ahern/Morris WA's cant do anything about the Open Sim situation, so go complain to the Lindens and stop spoling things for the rest of us.

My ML told me everytime I was smacked by one of the huge flags they insisted on waving around and the idiots that were bouncing around on the sim on sticks caused nothing but huge amounts of lag and then had the cheek to complain about it.

I'm all in favour of protests....but protest to people that have the power to change things and not to those of us that have no interest and can't do anything about it anyway
