I'm not real sure where this should go, but I know Montie had a lot of friends around SL - some of whom may not have heard the news yet.

Montie passed away from heart failure last Friday, Aug. 8. There will be a memorial service for her tomorrow night, Aug 16, at the Shiva temple.

Montie was one of my oldest and dearest SL friends. She was a truly caring, brilliant, and witty woman who will be missed very much. Her passing dims Second Life just a little bit for many of us who knew her.

Cindy, I am so very sorry for your loss. An in world memorial is a wonderful tribute.

I know of Montserrat only through Stephen Meadows' recent book, which I was reading just last week. She comes across as a charming and inspirational woman - my condolences to all who knew and loved her.

Anyone who makes fun of the bonds that are created in SL has never lost someone like this. My heart goes out to you.
