Since I've "upgraded" to the latest RC, I'm getting a wierd visual artifact that occurs when I try to zoom in on an avatar.
What happens is, the whole screen, UI and all "streak" from the lower left hand corner and right across my screen. Colors vary. Covers everything. Even all the controls. Sometimes I can recover from it by spinning the mousewheel back. Sometimes it happens if I walk to close to another AV or land near someone.
It would be the perfect way to foil upskirt peepers. Uh. . .I suppose. Tho it's a little too extreme for me.
Has anyone else seen this?

From: DancesWithRobots Soyer It would be the perfect way to foil upskirt peepers. LL has been proactive on that matter, having also added a new random disappearing skirt feature. From: someone Has anyone else seen this? Not here, but there is all kinds of wonderful card-specific visual weirdness in the recent builds.

Having looked at the new server deploy announcement I found this morning, I suspect it might be relaterd to the fix listed as DEV-12715
I'll know tonight if I'm able to zoom in on my sweeie's face tonight.

You mean this one?
DEV-12725: Camera position is no longer affected by phantom objects or avatars (resolution of this bug removed a cause of rapid shifts in camera position for reasons not obvious from the scene in view)
That bug will definitely induce nausea, but it doesn't make the UI go silly, only the camera.

Am suspecting it is the same thing I saw when I was working on the wrong graphics card drivers - ironically, I had to downgrade from the (recommended) latest build of drivers to an earlier version which works more stable...

I've seen this too. In previous Windlight versions, this only happened when you had RenderDynamicReflections set to True and tried to zoom in on your own avatar. With the new RC it seems to happen independently of RDR.

From: Xerxes Kingstop I have never seen an invisible skirt. Could it be because the are invisible?

From: Dylan Rickenbacker I've seen this too. In previous Windlight versions, this only happened when you had RenderDynamicReflections set to True and tried to zoom in on your own avatar. With the new RC it seems to happen independently of RDR. I saw this happenign zooming on others myself, though I did have RDR on. According to what I found in the JIRA, it's caused by shiny invisiprims, and turning off RDR fixed it for me.
