the process exists to sort your inventory by name & date.
what i would love to see added is name, date & prim count and each prim item in the inventory has a label like it does now, but with the addition of (xxx prims) like (no copy).

Just out of curiosity, what would you use this feature for? To help determine the size before you rez or maybe to help identify junk items?

I'd really like a feature that works like some utilities for your hard drive that find identical files and give you the option of deleting them. It would have to examine the entire item, not just the name. Maybe it would scan your inventory items and compare them. Probably can't be done though. With some inventories you'd have to stay logged in over night.

for identifying the prim count of the object before attaching/rezzing it.

True, and it's not read by LL there either.
Only place where feature suggestions are possibly read, is by adding them in JIRA:

https://jira.secondlife.com

Remember to search for an issue/suggestion, so you don't accidentally add it a second time...

Then you can use the forums to try and get people to vote for the issue. (Which has no discernible effect on LL's strategy to implement stuff, but is always a good reason to start another thread... and a good opportunity for people to vent about the horrible current situation.)

Also I fear that including the properties of the item and not just the name, it would really REALLY increase the load on the database. Every time my inventory loads, it takes ages as it is right now. If the properties would have to be scanned... how many hours would it take to load...?
